TM Real Estate Group arrived in San Juan de los Terreros on the Almeria Coast to build a development offering beach front apartments and ended up taking an active role in the community and sponsoring the Pulpi Triathlon 2010!
The “Villa de Pulpi” Triathlon is part of the National Triathlon 1st Circuit, which also sees as backdrop important Spanish cities such as Barcelona, Reinosa, Larezo and Zarauz. The triathlon was first held in San Jaun de los Terreros in 1988.
This year saw record numbers of participants in the 17th Triathlon, held on the 28th and 29th August 2010, with around 1,000 athletes braving the heat to take part in what is quickly becoming one of the most important sporting events of its type on the national stage.
For its part TM, apart from appearing on athlete’s number cards, T-shirts and with banners on security barriers around the circuit, also had an information stand allowing local residents to discover all about their latest project at Playa de los Nardos. Mar de Pulpi, which the company is building in San Juan de los Terreros, has already seen important regeneration work done to the beach and residents will also soon be able to enjoy over 70.000 m2 of parks, gardens and landscaped areas which will form a coastal park between their properties and the beach!

TM Real Estate Group has begun improvement work on the beach at Playa de Los Nardos, San Juan de los Terreros, Pulpi, Almeria, Spain
The improvements to the beach at San Juan de los Terreros, Almeria, are underway as part of TM Real Estate Groups ambitious beachfront project, Mar de Pulpi. As part of the project, which will include high quality housing, a commercial centre, hotel and sports facilities, TM have also envisaged a coastal promenade stretching along the front of the development, lined with lush vegetation, water features, urban furniture and a beach fit for bathing.
When TM arrived at the site of Mar de Pulpi, with the Playa de Los Nardos beach in front, the quality of the sand was anything but suitable for bathing – covered with small stones, pebbles and a layer of coarse sand. For this reason, the Alicante based builder has removed the stones and covered the beach with a layer of fine white sand, improving the appearance and texture of the beach and creating a true bathers paradise for its clients.

Despite what you might think, Spain is still number one for Brits looking to live abroad, according to new data released by property portal Primelocation. Internet searches in Britain for property abroad are up over 100% on the same time last year, with the search term “Spanish Property” coming out on top.
Primelocation confirm that searches for Spanish property in June were up an amazing 151 percent on the same time last year, with Spain itself taking almost a third of all International searches made, followed by France, the U.S., Portugal & Italy.
“There are many reasons why the country remains attractive to British buyers,” said Ann Wright, International Development Manager of Primelocation International, in an interview with The Telegraph. “Spain’s main attractions are still the warm climate, great beaches and unique culture all just a short flight from the UK; these factors will still draw in international buyers whatever the economic situation.”
The recent statistics also seem to reflect this, with British investors finally taking a more long term approach to the situation, while at the same time hoping to cash in on the weaker Euro and attractive exchange rates.
It seems the profile of person using Primelocation to find a property abroad has also changed, with more than a third stating that they are looking to move abroad permanently. Of the 1,500 investors who took part in the study, only 23.7% were looking for a holiday home, and only 12.4% searching for an investment.

Beatriz Corredor, the Spanish Minister for Housing, inaugurated building work at TM Real Estate Group’s latest project Residencial Amelié, a social housing project in Murcia, Spain.
The project is located on land classified as “Priority Development” and earmarked for the construction of 247 social housing properties in Los Dolores, Murcia, which form part of the Government Plan for Housing and Rehabilitation 2009-2012 for the Province of Murcia.
During the ceremony the Minister for Housing emphasised “the importance of collaboration between local council, regional and government departments so that projects such as Residencial Amelié can be undertaken.” She also stressed that, thanks to this project, “247 families in Murcia will be able to live in protected and affordable properties”.
Manuel Fernández-Figares, Construction Director for TM Real Estate Group, gave a brief overview of the project, highlighting that the project covers over 22,000 m2, with 70% (15,600 metres) allocated to public services.
Manuel Fernández-Figares also recognised that “speaking about a social housing project does not necessarily have to be at odds with the highest standards in quality and services.”
Finally, during the project presentation, José Ballesta, Minister for Public Works in the Region of Murcia, had a few words of praise for TM “supporting social housing during these difficult and complicated times.”

Renting an apartment for your summer holidays will actually cost you half as much as staying in a hotel and is the type of holiday option which best resists the current economic crisis, tourist experts announced today.
The average price for an apartment to rent this summer is around 26 Euros per person, per day. This is the find of a study conducted by leading holiday rental websites, with offers in all the major countries along the Mediterranean.
In Spain, the most expensive provinces during August, in descending order, are: Balearics, Guipúzcoa, Canary Islands, Barcelona and Girona, with prices ranging from 42 Euros in the Balearics to 29 Euros in Girona, per person, per day. On the other hand, Albacete, Burgos, Navarra, Soria and Leon came out as the cheapest, with prices between 13 to 16 Euros per person, per day. The average price for the rest of Spain is between 17 & 28 Euros per person, per day.

Rubén Laviana, owner of a TM villa in Aspe, became the latest Club TM winner, picking up a shiny new 32” LCD TV just for sending us a photo!
In the latest competition organized by Club TM, TM Real Estate Group’s club for owners of their properties, members were asked to take a photo of a memorable moment which they experienced in their TM property and send it, together with a brief explanation, to be published in the “Client’s Corner” of the Alicante based builders website.
The winner was announced on the 30th June and TM handed over the prize at the villa of Mr. Laviana (pictured in the photo with Gullermo Almería, Sales Consultant at Las Villas de Aspe).
Don’t worry if you didn’t get chance to enter this time, TM runs various competitions of a similar nature throughout the year. All you need to enter is to be an owner of a TM property on either the Costa Blanca or Mallorca, register for the Club TM website and have your camera handy!

We´re celebrating here at TM Real Estate Group thanks to the re-launch of The Fives, a luxury apartment project on the Riviera Maya, Mexico
The re-launch ceremony was held on the 1st July and was attended by over 100 agents, suppliers, lawyers, politicians and members of the press. Amongst them Wilberth Gutiérrez, President of the AMPI (Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals) for Riviera Maya, and also Rubén Barahona, a well respected local notary.
Joaquin Serna, Head of Projects in Mexico for TM, during his opening speech remarked on the illusions the company has placed in this re-launch, now that TM Real Estate Group had acquired 100% of the shares of Promociones Timanfaya, the Mexican developer building the complex. This acquisition makes TM sole owner of The Fives.
The party took place at the best possible location, The Fives Beach Club, where guests enjoyed cocktails next to the beaches of the Riviera Maya.
