New shopping complex to open its doors in South Costa Blanca September 10, 2009

Supermarket chain Alcampo has acquired land for the construction of a large shopping centre in Orihuela Costa, near the “La Zenia” exit of the AP-7 motorway.
The wholesaler group Auchan, owner of Spanish supermarket subsidiary Alcampo, plan to open the “Las Playas” shopping complex in June 2012. The project was conceived as a “Shopping Village” – a small 80,000 m2 “town” dedicated to shopping and offering excellent links to residential areas such as Orihuela Costa and Playa Flamenca. Nearby towns such as Torrevieja and Pilar de la Horadada will be just 10 minutes away with the opening of the “Via Parque” dual carriageway which runs the links most of the towns of Costa Blanca South.
Las Playas Shopping Centre will be supported by leading high street brands such as Decathalon and Leroy Merlin and create 100s of local jobs.
This is also seen as great news by owners of TM Real Estate Group properties in the area, who stand to benefit from a larger range and variety of shops and services on their doorstep.
